parts2clean, the leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning, returns to the Stuttgart exhibition grounds from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 October 2027. Organised by Deutsche Messe AG and held every two years, it covers the whole range of the subject, from cleaning systems and components, cleaning media, baskets and workpiece carriers to deburring, drying, corrosion protection, clean room technology, quality assurance and high purity applications. The 2025 edition drew more than 3,200 trade visitors from 44 nations and 165 exhibitors from 16 countries, with buyers from the automotive, mechanical engineering, metalworking, electronics, precision mechanics, pharmaceutical and aerospace sectors. How do you get to parts2clean?
From Stuttgart Airport (STR)
- The organiser says the trade fair and convention facilities are only about 200 metres on foot from the airport terminals, which makes even a one day visit easy
- Messe Stuttgart says the airport connects Stuttgart directly to 123 short and long haul destinations in 30 countries
- Messe Stuttgart says you are just 355 steps from your destination after landing
- Taxi ranks and shuttle bus access are right in front of the fair entrances and the ICS congress centre
By rail and road
- The organiser says Stuttgart's main station, in the city centre, is connected to 13 European cities, and Messe Stuttgart puts Paris and Zurich about three hours away by train
- From Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 run direct to Airport and Fair in 27 minutes, and the stop is about 200 metres, or an 8 minute walk, from the fair entrance
- By car, follow the signs for Stuttgart Airport: the exhibition centre connects directly to the A8 motorway and the B27, and the navigation address is Messepiazza / Flughafenstrasse, 70629 Stuttgart
- You do not need a low emission sticker to drive to the fair, which is outside the city, but the organiser says you do for a later visit to or an overnight stay in Stuttgart city
How do you get around during parts2clean?
Getting to the halls each day
- Opening hours are 09:00 to 17:00 daily from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 October 2027
- Stadtbahn line U6 ends at the Messepiazza, a 6 minute walk from Entrance East, with an extra fair stop at Entrance West
- The Baden-Württemberg-Ticket covers a day of unlimited regional trains, S-Bahn, trams and buses across the state for up to five people travelling together
- Messe Stuttgart says 6,700 parking spaces are available at the fairground and the adjoining airport car parks can also be used
Airport and fair, Möhringen or the city centre?
- Hotels in the Messe and airport cluster keep the halls close, which suits exhibitors and anyone flying in for a single day
- Möhringen lies between the city centre and the fair, on the south side of Stuttgart
- Stuttgart-Mitte and the Hauptbahnhof area have the widest choice of hotels and restaurants, 27 minutes from the fair on the S2 or S3

Do you need a visa for parts2clean?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- Germany is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
- The German Federal Foreign Office lists citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries as needing no visa for stays of up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
- ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; check official EU sources before you fly
eVisa / visa required
- Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through German missions or their appointed visa centres
- Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
- Deutsche Messe no longer issues invitation letters as standard, since a trade fair invitation can be waived for a business visa; it offers an invitation form for individual cases, and its Incoming Service helps visitors from countries without a sales partner

- A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
- Visitors: the organiser says visa issue depends on buying a full event ticket, which serves as proof for a business visa application
- Exhibitors: your stand confirmation or stand rental invoice, plus your hotel booking, return travel details and travel medical insurance

- Ticket sales for 2027 had not opened when we checked; the organiser says it will announce them through its newsletter, and complimentary tickets from exhibitors are activated by personalisation
- The bilingual p2c.EXPERTFORUM is free for trade fair visitors, with simultaneous German and English interpreting; in 2025 its talks were attended 3,060 times
- In 2025 admission tickets were also valid for the parallel fairs hy-fcell (hydrogen and fuel cells) and Quantum Effects; check which events run alongside the 2027 edition
- It is a trade fair: 99 percent of 2025 visitors were trade visitors, and the organiser says more than 31 percent came because of upcoming investment projects
