Overview

About the Belgian Grand Prix

The drivers’ favourite. Spa-Francorchamps in the Ardennes forest is the longest circuit on the 2027 calendar at 7.004 km, home to Eau Rouge and Raidillon — and one of the few tracks where general admission is a genuinely brilliant way to watch Formula 1.

Spa is a rollercoaster through the trees: the La Source hairpin, the flat-out climb through Eau Rouge–Raidillon, the Kemmel Straight, and the high-speed run through Pouhon and Blanchimont. The lap is so long that weather can differ from one end to the other, which has produced some of F1’s most chaotic races. Overtaking concentrates at Les Combes at the top of the hill.

Insider tips for the Belgian Grand Prix

GA at Spa is the real deal — the bank above Eau Rouge is one of the most famous spectating spots in sport. Arrive early to claim it.
The Ardennes make their own weather: pack waterproofs no matter what the forecast says.
The circuit is huge — comfortable shoes and a plan for which sections you will watch each session.
Friday is the day to walk the circuit and scout the banks before the weekend crowds arrive.

Getting there & where to stay

Transport

The circuit sits in the Ardennes near Stavelot, about 50 km from Liège. Official shuttle buses run from Spa and neighbouring towns across race weekend, connecting with trains at Spa station. Driving is possible but parking is limited and the forest roads clog — arrive very early. Many fans camp in the fields around the circuit, which is part of the Spa tradition.
