About Elland Road
Elland Road holds about 37,645 in an all-seated bowl split across four distinct stands: the Don Revie (North) Stand, the huge double-decker East Stand, the John Charles (West) Stand and the Norman Hunter South Stand. The North Stand, historically the Kop, is the beating heart of the atmosphere behind the goal, while the John Charles and East Stands offer the best elevated halfway-line views. Away fans are placed in the south-east corner. It is used almost exclusively for Leeds United matches, with an approved expansion set to lift capacity well beyond its current figure.
One of English football's most historic grounds, Elland Road has been Leeds United's home since 1919 and dates to 1897. Its four stands rose in different eras, giving it a patchwork character dominated by the towering double-decker East Stand and the steep Don Revie (North) Stand, and it is renowned as one of the loudest, most intimidating atmospheres in the country.

The ground stands in an industrial and retail area of Beeston, south-west Leeds, rather than a bustling high street, so most pre-match drinking happens in the club's fan zones and nearby pubs such as the Old Peacock opposite the ground.
