About Mestalla
Mestalla holds roughly 49,430 in an exceptionally steep, compact bowl split into Tribuna (west main stand), Preferencia (east), Gol Norte and Gol Sur behind the goals. The Curva Nord / Gol Norte is the home of the Yomus and other ultra groups and is the loudest end. The best views come from the elevated central Tribuna and Preferencia, while away fans are usually tucked into an upper corner of the Gol Sur. The steepness means even upper seats feel close, though the top rows are a long climb.
One of Spain's oldest and most atmospheric grounds, famous for having some of the steepest stands in world football — the tiers rise almost vertically over the pitch, putting fans right on top of the play. Its tight, towering bowl and city-centre setting give it a raw, old-school intensity that a replacement stadium (the long-delayed Nou Mestalla) has yet to match.

How the venue is set up
La Liga / domestic football
Full steep bowl in use with the Yomus and other ultras concentrated in the Gol Norte. The rake keeps sightlines dramatic from top to bottom.
European nights (Champions/Europa League)
Same configuration with a segregated away allocation in a corner and extra media provision in the Tribuna.
Concerts / other events
Mestalla is used mainly for football; larger concerts in Valencia tend to go elsewhere, though the ground has occasionally hosted big one-off events.

Seats to avoid & obstructed views
Top rows of the Gol Norte and Gol Sur: Very high and behind the goal, a long climb and a distant view of the far end.
Away corner, upper Gol Sur: Set into a corner high up, among the furthest seats from the pitch.
Lower front rows in the corners: Shallow angle where the near touchline can obscure the far side.
Restricted-view seats behind roof supports in older sections: Occasional pillar or stanchion interference in the historic stands.
Accessibility & companion seating
As a historic ground Mestalla has more limited step-free provision than newer stadiums, but designated wheelchair and companion spaces are available and best arranged in advance through Valencia CF's ticketing services. Staff assist with access on match day.

Getting there
Transport
Metro lines 3, 5, 7 and 9 stop at Aragón station, a short walk from the ground, while Facultats is another nearby option; several bus routes also serve Avenida de Aragón. It sits in the middle of the city so driving and parking are difficult — public transport or walking is best.
The area
Mestalla is right in central Valencia on Avenida de Aragón, surrounded by apartment blocks, bars and restaurants, only a short distance from the Turia gardens and the city centre. The lively pre-match bar scene around the ground is part of the experience.
