Where should you sit at Moda Center?
The best seats at Moda Center are 100 level sidelines: 101 to 103 and 121 to 122 (west), 110 to 114 (east) for the view. For value, choose 300 level sidelines: 301 to 303, 332 to 334 and 315 to 321. Avoid North end 104 to 109, 205 to 212 and 304 to 313 at end stage concerts. Moda Center seats 19,393, home of Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Fire and Portland Winterhawks.

Full detailAbout Moda Center
Moda Center is home to the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers and seats 19,393 for basketball. The Moda Center seating chart is simple once you know the levels: the lower bowl below the suites is split into the 100 level (sections 101 to 122) and the 200 level (sections 201 to 230), the Columbia Bank Suite Level sits above them, and the 300 level (sections 301 to 334) forms the upper bowl above the suites. The 200 level sideline sections are the Club Level, with extra legroom, their own concourse and two full bars. For basketball the best all round views are in the 100 level sidelines, while the 300 level sidelines are the best value. For end stage concerts the official seat map places the stage at the north end, so the south end sections face it head on.
Opened on 12 October 1995 as the Rose Garden and renamed Moda Center in 2013, the arena was designed by Ellerbe Becket as a precast concrete building under a saddle-shaped steel roof that rises 140 feet above the event floor. Its signature is the acoustical cloud, a set of 160 rotating panels hung from the ceiling that can reflect or absorb sound and help push crowd noise back down to the court. The City of Portland has owned the building since 2024.
Moda Center seating chart
General seating reference for Moda Center, also known as the Moda Center seating map, seating plan or seat plan. Check your selected event for its exact configuration.
What is the Moda Center seating capacity?
The Moda Center seating capacity is about 19,393 seats. The number in use changes with the layout, so here is how each set-up works.
Basketball (Trail Blazers and Portland Fire)
Seating capacity of 19,393 for basketball. The court runs between the north and south ends, with the long sidelines on the west (sections 101 to 103 and 121 to 122 at the 100 level) and east (sections 110 to 114). Portable seats are added or removed depending on the event.
End stage concert
The official end stage seating chart puts the stage at the north end in front of sections 106 and 107, with a flat floor in front of it and the rest of the bowl wrapping the other three sides. Wikipedia gives a capacity of about 15,000 for an end stage show. The Rose Quarter notes that stage configurations are subject to change.
Centre stage concert
A stage in the middle of the floor with a catwalk, surrounded by floor zones labelled North, South, East and West on the official chart and seated sections all the way round. Wikipedia gives a capacity of about 20,500.
Theater of the Clouds
The arena's theatre setting for 3,000 to 6,500 guests, using curtains and the acoustic cloud to close off most of the bowl. Wikipedia describes it as using the western side of the arena with the stage at centre court.
What are the seating levels at Moda Center?
100 Level101-122
The first ring of seats round the court, reached from the 100 level main concourse. On the official seat map the long sidelines are 101 to 103 and 121 to 122 on the west side and 110 to 114 on the east, with 104 to 109 at the north end and 115 to 120 at the south end.
Pros: Closest seats to the court or stage and the best detail on the action; entered straight off the main concourse.
Cons: The most expensive general seats, and the small corner and end sections at the north end sit beside an end stage for concerts.
200 Level and Club Level201-230
The upper part of the lower bowl, still below the suites and reached from the 100 level concourse. The sideline sections 201 to 204, 213 to 219 and 228 to 230 are the Club Level, 14 sections along the east and west sides with extra legroom, their own concourse and two full bars. The end sections 205 to 212 (north) and 220 to 227 (south) complete the ring.
Pros: Raised, full court view without the height of the upper bowl; Club Level adds premium food and drink, concierge and a private entrance.
Cons: Club Level tickets carry a premium; the end sections look down the length of the court.
Columbia Bank Suite Level
The ring of executive suites and skyboxes that separates the lower bowl from the 300 level. Wikipedia lists 70 suites and 8 skyboxes, and the Trail Blazers say an executive suite hosts up to 22 guests.
Pros: Private space, catering and a personal attendant, sold for Blazers games, concerts and events.
Cons: Sold as suite rentals or season ownership rather than single seats.
300 Level301-334
The upper bowl above the suites, reached from its own 300 level concourse. On the official seat map 301 to 303 and 333 to 334 are the centre of the west sideline, 316 to 320 the centre of the east sideline, 307 to 312 the north end and 324 to 329 the south end.
Pros: The cheapest way into Moda Center, with a complete view of the court and any production; sideline sections are strong value.
Cons: High above the court, with a long climb to the back rows; the north end sections sit behind an end stage for concerts.
Moda Center view from your seat
100 level sidelines
101 to 103 and 121 to 122 (west), 110 to 114 (east)The classic basketball view from the side of the court, close enough to follow every play and read the players. Section 101 on the west side and 112 on the east side sit at the centre of each sideline on the official Moda Center seat map.
Tip: Sections 101 and 112 are dead centre on each side, so start your search there and work outwards.
100 level ends
104 to 109 (north end), 115 to 120 (south end)Looking down the length of the court from behind a basket, which is great for watching plays develop towards you and less good for action at the far end. For end stage concerts the north end sections are beside or behind the stage, while 116 to 119 at the south end face it head on.
Tip: For a concert with the stage at the north end, 117 and 118 are the straightest lower bowl view.
Club Level sidelines
201 to 204 and 228 to 230 (west), 213 to 219 (east)A raised view from the back of the lower bowl, just below the suites, so you see the whole floor with a little height. Seats are wider with extra legroom.
Tip: Club tickets include the Club Level concourse and its two full bars, so arrive early to use them.
200 level ends
205 to 212 (north), 220 to 227 (south)An end on view from the back of the lower bowl. For an end stage show, 222 to 225 at the south end face the stage directly.
Tip: A good middle ground on price for concerts if the south end 100 level is too expensive.
300 level sidelines
301 to 303 and 332 to 334 (west), 315 to 321 (east)A high, centred view of the full court from the upper bowl, with every play visible at once.
Tip: Front rows of the 300 level sidelines are usually the best value seats in the building.
300 level ends and corners
304 to 314 (north), 322 to 331 (south)The furthest seats from the court, high up and looking down its length. For an end stage show, the north end of the 300 level is behind the stage and 325 to 328 at the south end face it.
Tip: Check the event's own Moda Center seat map before buying north end seats for a concert.
How do Moda Center seat numbers work?
Every Moda Center section has three digits and the first digit is the level: 101 to 122 is the 100 level, 201 to 230 is the 200 level (including the Club Level) and 301 to 334 is the 300 level. On the official seat map section numbers start at the centre of the west sideline, where 101, 201 and 301 sit, and climb towards the north end, along the east side and round the south end, so the first and last sections of each level (101 and 122, 201 and 230, 301 and 334) sit side by side at the centre of the west side. Your ticket shows a section, row and seat; the Rose Quarter adds WC next to the section number for wheelchair accessible seats.
Reading a ticket: Section 216: the 2 means the 200 level at the back of the lower bowl, reached from the 100 level concourse. Section 216 sits at the centre of the east sideline, directly opposite section 201, and is one of the Club Level sections.
Moda Center floor plan for concerts
The official Moda Center end stage seating chart puts the stage at the north end, in front of sections 106 and 107, with a flat floor in front of it and the seated bowl on the other three sides. A centre stage chart places the stage and catwalk in the middle of the floor with seats all the way round. The Rose Quarter says stage configurations are subject to change, so always check the plan for your show.
The floor: The floor in front of an end stage is a single flat area on the official chart; on the centre stage chart it is split into North, South, East and West zones around the stage.
The stage: With the stage at the north end, the south end sections 116 to 119, 222 to 225 and 325 to 328 face it head on. The sideline sections give an angled view, and the north end sections 104 to 109, 205 to 212 and 304 to 313 sit beside or behind the stage.
For smaller shows the arena can switch to the Theater of the Clouds setting for 3,000 to 6,500 guests, which uses curtains to close off much of the bowl.

North end 104 to 109, 205 to 212 and 304 to 313 at end stage concerts: These sit beside or behind a north end stage, so views of the production can be side on or blocked. Check the event map before buying.
Top rows of the 300 level ends and corners: The furthest seats from the court, high up and looking down its length.
Back of the floor at concerts: The floor is flat, so the view from the back depends on the height of the crowd in front.
Where is accessible seating at Moda Center?
Wheelchair accessible seating is available on all levels of Moda Center, and up to three companion seats can be bought with each accessible seat. How do you get to Moda Center?
Transport
Moda Center is at One Center Court in the Rose Quarter, and TriMet is the easiest way in: MAX Blue, Green and Red lines stop at Rose Quarter Transit Center right beside the arena, the Yellow line stops at Interstate/Rose Quarter, and bus lines 4, 8, 35, 44, 77 and 85 also serve the transit center. For parking, the Rose Quarter has more than 2,500 spaces across four garages and two lots, including the 1,038-space Garden Garage attached to the north end of the arena. Garages open about two hours before an event, parking often sells out, the campus is cashless, and pre-paid parking can be bought in advance. On Trail Blazers game days more than 1,700 off-site spaces are available at NE 7th and Multnomah in the Lloyd District, with MAX trains back to the arena.
The area
The arena anchors the Rose Quarter, a sports and entertainment district in inner north east Portland that also holds the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the Blazers' original home, plus parking garages, bars and restaurants. The Lloyd District sits just to the east, and downtown Portland is a short MAX ride across the Willamette River.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Moda Center seating capacity?
Moda Center seats 19,393 for basketball. Concert capacity depends on the stage: Wikipedia gives about 15,000 for an end stage show and about 20,500 for a centre stage show, while the Theater of the Clouds setting holds 3,000 to 6,500.
How does the Moda Center seating chart work?
There are three seating levels. The lower bowl below the suites holds the 100 level (sections 101 to 122) and the 200 level (201 to 230), the Columbia Bank Suite Level sits in the middle, and the 300 level upper bowl (301 to 334) is above the suites. The official Moda Center seating map for end stage and centre stage shows is on the Rose Quarter website.
How are sections, rows and seat numbers numbered at Moda Center?
The first digit of the section is the level. Sections start at the centre of the west sideline (101, 201 and 301) and climb towards the north end, along the east side and round the south end, so 101 and 122 sit side by side.
