Intergift, the International Decoration and Gift Fair organised by IFEMA MADRID, holds its 88th edition at IFEMA Madrid from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 February 2027. For many years the fair ran twice a year, in February and September, but since 2026 IFEMA holds one edition a year, in February, so this is the single Intergift week of the year. It is a trade fair for buyers, interior designers, decorators, architects, specialist retailers, concept stores and department stores, and only sector professionals who register can enter. The 2026 edition brought together more than 15,000 professionals and over 250 national and international brands. The 2027 fair is organised in four areas: Editores Textiles with the new Interior Design Solutions, Home & Design, Deco (including Christmas decoration) and Gifts, plus talks, workshops, the third Best Interior Design Projects Competition and the second Madrid Region Furniture Week. IFEMA sits on Metro line 8 between Barajas airport and Nuevos Ministerios, so Intergift hotels are easiest in Campo de las Naciones and Barajas near the fairground, or along line 8 towards the Castellana and the centre. How do you get to Intergift?
From Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD)
- IFEMA says Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport is just ten minutes from the fairground and 12 kilometres from the city centre
- Metro line 8 (Nuevos Ministerios to Aeropuerto T4) stops at Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 and Aeropuerto T4, and its Feria de Madrid station exits opposite IFEMA's South entrance
- Aena lists line 8 hours as 06:05 to 02:00 every day; a single ticket to or from the airport stations carries a 3 euro airport supplement
- Official taxis charge a flat 33 euros between the airport and anywhere inside the M-30 ring road; IFEMA lies outside it, where Aena sets a 22 euro minimum fare for trips under 9 kilometres, and IFEMA adds a 3 euro supplement to enter or leave the fairground
By rail and road
- Long distance and high-speed trains arrive at Atocha, which IFEMA notes has Metro, Cercanías and taxi connections
- IFEMA says Cercanías RENFE connects directly with Metro line 8, the line that serves the fairground
- By car, IFEMA is reached from the M-11 (exits 5 and 7), the M-40 (exits 5, 6 and 7) and the A-2 (exit 7), and the South, North and East entrances lead straight to the car parks
- The Recinto Ferial car parks charge 2.95 euros an hour, or 15 euros a day if you choose the prepaid rate in your first hour, with a 21 euro maximum

- Metro line 8 to Feria de Madrid is the main public transport link; from the centre, change to line 8 at Nuevos Ministerios, where it starts
- City buses 73 (from Diego de León), 112 (Mar de Cristal to Barrio del Aeropuerto) and 122 (from Avenida de América) serve IFEMA, as does intercity bus 828
- IFEMA has taxi ranks at its South, North and East entrances

Do you need a visa for Intergift?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- Spain is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
- Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
- ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly
eVisa / visa required
- Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through Spain's consulates or their appointed visa centres
- Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
- IFEMA says exhibitors request visa support letters through Expo Zone once their exhibitor passes are personalised and payments are up to date; visitors can ask IFEMA's customer service for one
Documents to carry
- A passport issued within the last ten years and valid for at least three months after you plan to leave the Schengen Area
- Your Intergift professional pass and your hotel booking
- A letter from your employer explaining the business purpose of the trip, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

First time at Intergift?
- Opening hours for 2027: Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 February, 10:00 to 19:00 every day
- Intergift is for sector professionals only; each person registers with their own IFEMA MADRID account and email, and one email cannot hold more than one pass
- If an exhibitor sends you an invitation code, enter it in the third step of professional registration
- IFEMA's general rule for professional fairs is that minors may attend but it is not recommended, and anyone over 16 must complete and pay for professional registration
- Cloakrooms at the hall entrances open 30 minutes before the fair and close an hour after it ends, and take suitcases, so you can come straight from the hotel on your last day

- MOMAD and Bisutex, IFEMA's fashion and fashion jewellery fairs, run at IFEMA from 4 to 6 February 2027, overlapping three of Intergift's four days, so expect a busy week at the fairground and book hotels near IFEMA early
- Saturday is a full day, open until 19:00, so exhibitors packing down usually need the Saturday night as well
