About International Stadium Yokohama

Nissan Stadium (officially International Stadium Yokohama) is a 72,000-seat two-tier bowl with a running track, home to Yokohama F. Marinos. The Main Stand on the west side holds the tunnels, benches, press and the premium SS seats along the halfway line; the Back Stand opposite (east) is the best-value side-on view and also carries a supporters section on the north side of its upper deck. Behind the goals are the ends, and the South goal-back is the base of the Tricolore Pride ultras, whose home unreserved (jiyu) sections fill both tiers there. Marinos price by category — SS on the main stand, then SB and S Block on the sides, and cheap unreserved home and away seats behind the goals. Because the athletics track pushes seats back, the upper deck and the halfway-line main stand give the best football views, while the lower front rows and the upper goal-end corners are the most distant. For concerts and rugby the same bowl is used with a stage or full pitch.

Japan's largest stadium, a vast two-tier elliptical bowl raised on stilts above a flood-retention basin of the Tsurumi River in Shin-Yokohama Park. A full athletics track rings the pitch and a translucent roof covers most of the upper deck and the rear of the lower deck (from roughly row 20 back), leaving only the front lower rows open. It hosted the 2002 World Cup final and the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, so the sweep is huge and clean but the track sets every seat back from the action.
