Full detailAbout Ohio Stadium
Ohio Stadium stacks into three overhanging decks: the A deck (lower), the B deck (mid, mostly chairbacks and largely covered by the overhang except the end-zone B sections) and the C deck (upper), labelled by number plus deck letter. Lower-sideline centre seats sit in roughly 11-16A and 25-30A, and the covered, chairbacked B deck is the comfort pick. The west sideline is the shade side and the east sideline the sunny one, with extra cover under the C-deck overhangs and across the closed north end. The student sections fill the south end zone (31-39) plus Sections 1-7, with the famous Block O in 39A and 1A-2A. There is no dedicated away-fan block.
The iconic horseshoe: a double-decked bowl closed at the north end and historically open at the south, giving the stadium its shape. Architect Howard Dwight Smith designed the upper deck to overhang the lower, creating the distinctive A, B and C deck structure, and there is no roof over the bowl. When built it was the largest poured-concrete structure in the world.

COTA public buses serve campus on gamedays, and Ohio State runs a free football shuttle from Carmack Lot 1 on West Campus to the Herrick Drive transit hub near the stadium.
