About BC Place

BC Place is a covered, downtown bowl where the retractable roof guarantees play whatever the weather. The lower bowl (200-level) sideline sections offer the best proximity and midfield views; the Club level (300s, sections 336-346) on Level 3 gives elevated central sightlines with lounge access; and the upper bowl (400s) is the cheapest but is usually curtained off for Whitecaps matches. The loudest support is the Southsiders and Curva Collective behind the south goal in sections 249-254 (with 253 general admission). The Whitecaps bench sits in front of section 213. For the 2026 World Cup the ground opened up to 52,497 and hosted seven matches, including two knockout games (a Round of 32 and a Round of 16). It is also a major concert venue - Ed Sheeran drew a record 65,061 and Taylor Swift closed her Eras Tour here - with the roof closed and an end-stage floor layout.

A downtown multi-purpose stadium on the north shore of False Creek, famous for the largest cable-supported retractable roof in the world - a fabric canopy that draws back into a pod above the centre-hung videoboard, with a roughly 100 x 85 m opening. Inside is a steep two-tier bowl seating up to 54,500. For Whitecaps football the upper tier is usually curtained off to a more intimate soccer configuration of around 22,000, and the roof can be closed to beat Vancouver's rain.

Lower Bowl behind goal201-204, 224-234 and 249-254

The behind-goal ends of the lower bowl. The south end (249-254) is the supporters' area; the north end is quieter family and value seating.

Pros: Great value with lower-bowl proximity; strong goal-line perspective on attacking play; big atmosphere at the south end.

Cons: Behind-goal angle makes reading the game harder; far goal action is distant.

Club LevelClub Seats 336-346

Around 1,300 premium centre-field club seats on Level 3 with cushioned seating, two indoor club lounges, full food and beverage service and a dedicated entrance.

Pros: Best elevated central sightlines; all-inclusive lounge amenities; sheltered and comfortable.

Cons: The most expensive seating; overkill if you just want to watch the match.

Upper BowlSidelines 408-420 and 435-447; ends 401-407, 421-434, 448-454

The second tier, opened for the World Cup, concerts and big Lions games but usually curtained off for Whitecaps matches. Steep and high, with the roof directly overhead.

Pros: The cheapest seats; complete overview of the pitch from the sideline blocks; always covered.

Cons: Distant and steep; behind-goal corners are a long way from the action; often unavailable for Whitecaps games.

Supporters' Section249-254 (253 general admission)

Home of the Whitecaps supporters' groups - the Southsiders, Curva Collective, South Sisters and Rain City Brigade - behind the south goal. Standing, chanting and tifo for the full match.

The stadium is right in the heart of downtown. Stadium-Chinatown station on the Expo Line SkyTrain is a two-block walk via the Beatty Street exit; Yaletown-Roundhouse (Canada Line) is also close. Rogers Arena is next door. Numerous bus routes serve the area and the SeaBus/West Coast Express feed into the SkyTrain network. Driving into downtown is discouraged on event days, though paid lots exist nearby.
