Beaver Stadium is an open-air bowl whose sections are prefixed by compass point: N and S for the end zones, E and W for the sidelines. Lower sideline sections run WA to WJ and lower end zones NA to NL and SA to SK, while upper-level sections add a third letter (U for upper, C for club). The west side is the shade side and the east side the sunny one for afternoon games. The student section packs the south end lower level, the heart of the famous White Out; chairbacks exist only in the upper south end zone, and the rest of the bowl is bleacher.
One of the largest stadiums in the world, an open-air natural-grass bowl with a huge lower bank topped by upper decks on the sidelines and the south end. It is a hybrid structure, with original steel grandstand sections combined with decades of concrete expansion, roughly 60 suites and LED videoboards; the vast majority of seats are backless metal bleachers. A major modernisation runs from 2024 to 2027, so single-season working capacity can differ from the nominal figure.
