About Camp Randall Stadium

Camp Randall Stadium is an open-air horseshoe bowl that opens toward the south end. The lower bowl is lettered around the field (A to V, then into double letters AA, BB and on), with the Badgers sideline fronted by roughly sections D to F on the west and the visitor sideline by S to U on the east; a west-side upper deck rises over the lower bowl. It is a mostly sun-exposed bowl with limited shade, so the upper rows under the overhang stay coolest for afternoon kickoffs. The student sections fill the south end and the lower J to P sections, home of the 'Jump Around' that erupts between the third and fourth quarters. An open-air horseshoe bowl that opens toward the south end, on the site of a Civil War training camp. A west-side upper deck (added 1966) sits over a continuous lower bowl, with premium and club structures along the east rim and in the rebuilt south end zone, and a large videoboard anchors the seating; there is no roof over the bowl. A major reconstruction in 2004-2005 added the luxury boxes and press structures, and the south end zone premium seating was rebuilt in 2022.

Transport

A clear-bag policy applies (one clear one gallon bag or a 12 by 6 by 12 inch clear tote, plus a small clutch no larger than about 6.5 by 4.5 inches).
