About Sanford Stadium

Sanford Stadium is famous for the privet hedges that ring the field, the origin of the 'between the hedges' nickname. The sidelines carry a lower 100 level, a 200-level club ring around most of the bowl, an upper 300 level and a 600-level deck on the north sideline, and the end zones are decked. The south side, below the press box, is the home side and the shade side, while the north side and the end zones stay sunny. An open-air natural-grass bowl set in a valley cut by Tanyard Creek, ringed at field level by the famous privet hedges. Both sidelines carry stacked decks, a lower 100 level, a 200-level club ring that wraps most of the bowl, an upper 300 level and a 600-level deck on the north sideline, and the end zones are decked too (the west end built up in 2018). A large video display sits above the west end zone. The field is Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium.

Pay parking at the East Campus Parking Deck (around forty dollars, cashless, fills early), free overflow parking at the Intramural Fields with a shuttle, and downtown decks are options. A free shuttle runs from the East Campus Deck to Gate 6 from about three and a half hours before kickoff.
