Tiger Stadium is a century-old enclosed bowl. The lower bowl runs in the 100s and 300s (the 100s along the west, LSU-bench sideline and the 300s along the east, visitor sideline), with upper decks in the 500s and a double-decked south end in the 600s. LSU is famous for night games, so heat, humidity and noise matter far more than sun angle; for a rare day game the west side shades sooner. The student block sits in the north and north-west 200s, with the Golden Band from Tigerland in section 217. The best sideline seats are the lower-100 midfield on the west side; check the official chart for exact section numbers.
An open-air natural-grass bowl built up over a century into a fully enclosed lower bowl with upper decks on both sidelines and a double-decked south end; the north end is the original enclosed horseshoe. The west upper structure was rebuilt in 2006 around premium clubs and suites, the south upper deck was added in 2014, and two large videoboards sit at each end. It is famous for the wall of noise on a night game, which gave rise to the Death Valley name.
